Why a consultation
That's the whole idea. When a contractor climbs up to "take a look," they're doing two jobs at once — diagnosing the problem and pricing the work they hope to sell you. Those two jobs pull in opposite directions.
On a consult, we're not bidding the work. There's nothing to sell you, so there's no reason to find problems that aren't there — or to miss the cheap fix that would have solved it.

No. On a consult we're not bidding the work, and that's the point. If you want us to handle the job afterward, that's a separate conversation you start — not one we push.
